A survey has been conducted among the students of the college to know how much of French culture is known to the American youth.  The questions and the results of the survey are displayed below.  Some conclusions are drawn from the results.

French cuisine is liked by most (83.3%) parents of the students from America.  But, French is spoken only by a few (8.3%) American students.  The name of the French president is known by some (or “many” is better than “some” as 66.7% is more than 50%) (66.7%) of them.   Interestingly, most of them are ancestored by French.   The origin (source) of the statue of liberty is known to some (or, “many “ is better as 66.7% is more than 50%)  (66.7%) of the Americans.

2.  Do you speak French at home?

      A few American students speak French at home.

   ( The proportion of Yes:  1/12 =  8.3 %.   The proportion of No:   91.7%)

3. Do you know the name of the French president?

    Some  American students know the name of the French president.

4. Do you have French  ancestors ?
